Hi, My name is Paul. 👋

I started Spacestation Labs back in 2017 as a way to make money as a scrappy startup founder.

Two years later, I was making twice as much as when I was a full-time software developer, and more than I ever did from my startups.

Four years later, I helped dozens of rising technology companies grow and build products, all while working no more than 40 hour per week.

After covid, I took a year off, travel a bit, and looked towards the next opportunity. At the end of the day, it's freedom I truly want.

Now, I'm sharing the lessons I've learned over the past 7 years on building an agency business from the ground up. I've learned how to communicate effectively as an introverted developer, market myself without worring what others think of me, and how to pursue any passion with flexibility. If you're waiting to start, this playbook is for you.

"It's the best guide I have read in the matter, I like that it's honest and candid. It's very practical too. Step by step. I also recommend it to some of my best friends of indie hackers." - Microlaunch

As a software developer looking to quit his 9 to 5 and build an agency, Paul's playbook seems like a lifesaver to me. He has condensed a tonne of learning in a concise no-BS format. Would recommend this to not just aspiring entrepreneurs, but also to everyone who has a monetizable skill!

Love the book, it gave me new perspectives on the way I can work freelance for U.S companies.

This book is great, it really opens up a lot of blind spots an agency owner may have. Absolutely recommend if you have an agency or you want to start one.

The playbook chapters, they're like a wrap-up of years of know-how, short but got me pondering and digging deep into what you're saying. It's shifting how I view freelancing, making me see the path more clearly now.

The first chapter is insanely well-written and packed with actionable advice. That lured me in to want to learn more. Thanks!! BTW, if there is a way to buy the book, I'd much prefer that option. Please let me know.

Found your post on reddit. It was very well written and interesting.

I really enjoyed the chapter you shared on Reddit, there was a ton of valuable information in it. I don’t usually entertain posts like that because they’re usually just repeating the same generic advice about working hard. I think you’re a really well-spoken individual and I would love to learn more about your experience.

I know this is about software development but many of the methods and process of getting contracts, thinking outside the box in the first chapter on reddit were inspiring to read! I’d like to hear the rest of it and learn from successful people.

Love this chapter - already has some super good tips - I tend to look at any jobs that are full time and immediately dismiss them, but you have some really good ideas in here about moving to contract/giving a max amount of hours per month instead of "full time" - love it.

Thank you very much for your insight, already very inspiring! The more concise examples and tips on how to achieve things, the better. You already did better then everything I read before.

Everything has been so great so far. You and your content is exactly what I've been looking for for several months now. Truly feels like divine intervention.

Awesome thing you've done here man. People charge for an Upwork playbook these days, and you are doing this for free. Angel saviour if I may say so.
